MOKE International has introduced the all-electric MOKE Mk2 at the Paris Motor Show, presenting a modern interpretation of the classic beach car with enhanced practicality. The new model boasts a larger battery capacity, an impressive driving range of up to 170 km, and numerous upgrades for comfort and convenience.

Manufactured in Britain, the Electric MOKE Mk2 retains its nostalgic design while integrating features that enhance everyday usability and outdoor adventures. It's crafted for those who prioritize leisure driving and open-air experiences, rather than conventional commuting.

The retail price for the MOKE Mk2 is set at €35,000, with availability for test drives, rentals, and purchases across several European markets.

Enhanced Battery and Range

The notable improvement in the Mk2 is its higher-capacity battery, which allows for a claimed range of 170 km on a single charge. This extended range offers better flexibility for coastal trips, beach outings, and short leisure drives.

At the heart of the MOKE is a 33 kW electric motor. MOKE International has reworked the vehicle's layout to optimize weight distribution and handling, aiming for a more refined driving experience while preserving its lightweight, open-air charm.

While its range might seem limited in comparison to more traditional electric vehicles, the MOKE Mk2 is explicitly designed for leisurely drives and short-distance adventures rather than extensive highway travel.

Efficient Charging Capabilities

The Electric MOKE Mk2 comes with a 6.6 kW onboard charger, capable of charging the battery from 20% to 80% in about two hours when conditions are optimal.

In a thoughtful design update, the charging port has been moved to the rear, offering a sleeker exterior. This enhancement is aimed at streamlining the recharging process, making it easier to fit into the owners' everyday lives.

Although not intended for lengthy journeys, the charging features cater well to those able to recharge in between activities or while parked at locations.

Focus on Practicality and Interior Comfort

Practical design elements are front and center in the new Electric MOKE Mk2, which features an 86-litre lockable front storage compartment. This addition allows drivers to securely stow personal items, beach gear, and other necessities.

By relocating items away from the passenger area, the cabin maintains a more organized space, which is particularly beneficial in a compact, open-air vehicle.

The control panel has been enhanced for clarity, with an upgraded rotary gear selector and more visible warning lights for easy operation. Other interior enhancements include wider footwells, USB-C connectivity, a 12V power outlet, and rear cup holders, addressing daily convenience without losing the essence of open-air enjoyment.

Expanded Color Palette

European customers now have a wider selection of colors for the MOKE Mk2, including options from the new California Collection such as Sonoma Red, Laguna Blue, and Venice White.

This new palette adds to the Original Colour Collection, which offers shades like Wave Blue, Sunlight Yellow, and Sunset Orange, while the Earth Naturals range provides more subdued tones like Shell White, Eucalyptus Green, and Palm Green.

These color options enable buyers to personalize their Electric MOKE Mk2 while maintaining the brand's distinctive look.

Pricing and Market Position

The Electric MOKE Mk2 is priced at €35,000 and is available for trials and purchases in multiple European markets.
